The current parish church has been declared an diocese sanctuary on Bl. Evgeny Bosilkov of N.V.P. Mons. Petko Hristov by Decree of 16 November 2000 In the Sanctuary is the baptismal coupe, in which the blessed himself was baptized on the day of his birth – November 16, 1900. On the altar dedicated to him is the icon, depicting the traditional image of the Blessed and relic, gifted by Pope John Paul II for the Sanctuary. The relic is part of the shirt of bl. Evgeny, who was carried to the Sofia prison, where traces of blood were left – a visible sign of the torture to which he was subjected. Pilgrims who visit the Sanctuary can receive full Indulgence on the day of the feast of bliss – November 13 and during worship. Under the same conditions, pilgrim priests are allowed to administer the Mass on bl. Evgeny Bosilkov. The sanctuary is entrusted to the fellows of Blessed Evgeny Bosilkov – the Paganist Father. Rector of the Sanctuary is Paolo Cortesi.
